22 Dec 1989 Community members discussed their interest in building a Filipino Community Center.  The wheels were set into motion to build one.
 
17 Jan 1990 First general meeting.  By-Laws committee completed the FCC Constitution and By-Laws
 
16 Feb 1990 The Filipino Community Center of Charleston, South Carolina was granted a Charter by the State of South Carolina
 
25 May 1990 The Filipino Community Center Booster Club received it's charter
 
02 Oct 1990 FCC first election of officers at Goose Creek High School Cafeteria
 
26 Oct 1990 Induction of Officers, $100.00 plate fundraising and grand appreciation night held at the Marriott Hotel, North Charleston
 
14 Nov 1990 The first assembly of FCC Board of Directors met.
 
24 Apr 1991 The Interim Board of Directors of FCC Booster Club met at Menriv Chapel and ratified the By-Law drafted last January.
 
26 Aug 1991 The Internal Revenue Service granted Tax-exempt status to both the Filipino Community Center and Booster Club.
 
18 Jan 1993 Concerned Filipino group formed a joint agreement drafted in acquiring 5.1 acre of lot off U.S. Highway 52 to be sue as the future site for the Filipino Community Center building.
 
06 Feb 1993 Signing of the contract (20 Filipino families) Filipino Concerned Group join agreement.  Otranto Library, North Charleston.
 
22 Mar 1993 Started house-to-house collecting land money from the Filipino Concerned Group
 
19 Apr 1993 Real Property close with Attorney Rivers T. Jenkins, North Charleston
 
24 Apr 1993 First day clean-up at the FCC site
 
07 Jun 1993 "Bayanihan Lane" street sign installed by the Berkeley County government Highway Department
 
04 Jul 1993 Deep well water system completed.  First Independence Day 4th of July Picnic at the FCC site. Co-sponsor by the Visayas-Mindanao Federation.
 
23 Oct 1993 First Fish-Fry Annual Fundraising of FCC Booster Club.
 
20 Nov 1993 First official use of picnic shed, Baptismal of Mr. & Mrs. Pete Soriano granddaughter
 
19 Apr 1993 The Filipino Community Center with the benevolent support of the Filipino Concerned purchased 5.1 acres of land
 
04 Sep 1994 FCC main entrance Iron Gate completed
 
18 Dec 1995 Multipurpose Gazebo/Outdoor stage completed
 
04 Jun 1996 Clearing, grading of softball field completed
 
14 Jun 1997 First ever "Taste of the Philippines" held at the FCC site
 
19 Jul 1997 Deep Well Pump tested and approved by DHEC
 
13 Sep 1997 The mosT Reverend Florentino C. Cinens, Bishop of Tarlac visited and blessed held in Kiawah visited FCC site
 
18 Nov 1997 Philippine Professional Golf Delegation to prestigious World Cup Tournament held in Kiawah visited FCC site
 
03 Oct 1997 Bon voyage party for the Filipino officers and crew of the M/V Thomas
 
19 Sep 1998 Miss TEEN USA Vanessa Minnilo visited FCC site
 
19 Feb 1999 FCC Booster Club - Fundraising arm of FCC raised $29,000.00 and payoff the Filipino Concerned Group on 3.5 acre parcel of lot. The 5.1 ACRE OF LAND IS FULLY OWNED BY THE FCC, INC.
